Maria Welch
Ms. Welch is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Respira Medical, Inc., an independent regional company that specializes in respiratory and home medical equipment services for the neonatal, pediatric and geriatric communities. She has been in healthcare for over 28 years. Ms. Welch experienced first hand the extreme importance for early detection and awareness of respiratory disease & the necessity of providing a higher level of home care to those in need. She cared for her father, a retired ironworker, who had developed asbestosis over many years of exposure. She understood the challenges faced by homebound patients and their caregivers. In March 2001, Respira, which means, “to breathe” in Spanish, was born.

Respira has received international, national and local awards for their innovative programs and exceptional patient care. Respira is strongly dedicated to giving back to the community.
