Brenda Goburn Smith
Executive Director

Brenda Goburn Smith was present at the beginning of The President's RoundTable and she continues now to lead the organization into its third decade of service to Baltimore's leading Black business executives.

As the first executive director of PRT, from 1983 until 1990, she helped launch the organization and create its member service programs. She left PRT, in 1990, to pursue independent business and community service interests.

For a little more than a decade, she was engaged in a number of independent businesses as a consultant and trainer; a computer network specialist; a marketing communications executive; and director of a regional nonprofit youth development program.

She returned to the helm of PRT, in 2001, to focus her experience on expanding the organization's member services, marketing, and public communications.

Smith has held leadership and advisory positions in a number of community service organizations, including chairperson of the Board of Electrical Examiners of Baltimore City and former Board member of United Way Community Services; Sinai Hospital; Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital's Health System Board; Downtown Partnership; and Board of Governors of Maryland New Directions. She currently serves on the Board of Justice Resources, Inc.
