John C. Peoples
John Peoples joined Global Lead in 1997, where he now is managing partner. He consults with a portfolio of clients including S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc., Black Entertainment Television, Inc., The Black & Decker Corporation, Marriott International, Inc., The Procter & Gamble Company, Eaton Corporation, Frito-Lay, Inc., and Campbell Soup Company, to name a few. He is the author of a landmark Effective Diversity Practices study that leverages, for the first time, the employees' perspective as the primary measure of effectiveness.
A consumer product marketer by training, Mr. Peoples spent nearly 10 years at Procter & Gamble, successfully developing and growing several well-known household brands. In 1994, he was named one of Advertising Age's Marketing 100, based on his leadership of the relaunch and expansion of Pantene Hair Care Products in the U.S.
Mr. Peoples is a native of Philadelphia and a proud graduate of the University of Virginia. He serves on the boards of the National Industries for the Blind, the University of Virginia Alumni Association, AIDS Interfaith Residential Services, and the Advisory Council of the Walter N. Ridley Scholarship Fund. He is a member of the 2005 Class of The GBC Leadership and a 2003 graduate of Leadership Maryland. Mr. Peoples was selected as one of Baltimore's "40 Under 40" by Baltimore Business Journal in 2003.
