Joseph Haskins, Jr.
Under the visionary leadership of Joseph Haskins, Jr., Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Harbor Bank has become one of the top ten African American owned and operated financial institutions in the United States. Mr. Haskins' banking career led him from Chase Manhattan Bank in New York, First Union in New Jersey, back to Baltimore as Coppin State College's Vice President for Business and Finance and then to Prudential Securities as a Portfolio Investment Manager. After attaining a B.A. in Economics from Morgan State University, Mr. Haskins went on to successfully receive his M.B.A. in Finance from New York University and a Masters of Liberal Arts in Economics from Johns Hopkins University. He serves as a Director on the boards of CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, Morgan State University Business School, Security Title, Chairs the East Baltimore Bio-Tech Urban Development Project and Associated Black Charities.
