Armentha "Mike" Cruise, President and CEO of The Aspen Group, Inc., has used strategic planning, a bottoms-up employee management approach, innovative partnering arrangements with other businesses, continual quality improvement, selective marketing techniques, sound fiscal management, process engineering, and a focus on customer satisfaction to create a business that ranks within the top 1 percent of small businesses nationwide in terms of revenue and growth.
Ms. Cruise is active in the business community and serves in leadership positions for numerous organizations. She is a member of the Women's Leadership Board of Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government; a board member and strategic partner of the District of Columbia Chamber of Commerce; a member of Leadership Washington; a member of the board of the Maryland/District of Columbia Minority Supplier Development Council; and a member of Morgan State University's Corporate Alliance Board. Ms. Cruise also believes in giving back to the broader community, as shown by her generosity to Minor Elementary School in Washington, D.C., and Morgan State University.
A native of Baltimore, MD., Ms. Cruise received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Morgan State University and her master's degree in human resources management from American University. Before founding Aspen, Ms. Cruise was a human resources manager at Bell Atlantic Corporation. Her commitment to excellence has earned her and Aspen many honors.
